Shell Processing

Overview:

As Mt. Baker Mining and Metals is located in the Pacific Northwest, we have been asked by local customers to create custom products for shell processing. The oyster growing industry on the West Coast of the United States has been faced with the challenge of removing plastic rope from oyster shells, and our Turn-Key Shell Processor makes this much easier. Once the plastic is removed from these shells, they are crushed with this machine for use as chicken feed, soil amendment, decorative landscape, and other industrial and consumer applications. The Turn-Key Shell Processor comes with a vibrating hopper to feed the shells onto a feeder auger with VFD, which then transports the shells into an MBMM 24″ x 16″ hammer mill.

Turn-Key Shell Processor

This Turn-Key Shell Processor is the most effective equipment for use in shell processing. Starting with a vibrating hopper and moving onto a feeder auger, this system ends with a 24″ x 16″ hammer mill, which is perfect for use in crushing shells and liberating environmentally destructive plastic rope.
